Contextual Product Recommendations based on product tags

I am building a store with Print-on-Demand products and I have each design on different products.

At the moment I am using the Dawn theme and I activated the “Product recommendations” section on the product page which gives dynamic product recommendations. The recommendations are just awful and I would like to control the recommendations so that it actually shows the design on different products.

I tagged every product with the corresponding design number in this format “design_XXXX”

I was wondering if there is an easy way to have the product recommendations show only product recommendations with the same design number tag?

Please send me the code of product-recommendations.liquid file, I will help you to add conditions to display it.

Please note, this will remove the code showing product recommendations.
