Bearing in mind that I have an existing collection of HTML documents that include metadata enhancements that aid my SEO efforts, how would I copy said files (ideally in bulk) over to my Shopify hosted site?
Note, I am trying to replace existing pages (in my Shopify hosted site) with variants that include enhanced HTML-metadata.

I will check out the issue and provide you a solution here.
It all depends what’s inside those HTML files and what you want carried across. There is going to be a lot of junk I guarantee in them that distorts the design of the pages who’s HTML won’t work with your current theme.
What is the “enhanced HTML meta data”? Are you talking about structured data for search engines? If so, that’s something your theme should handle for you when you fill in the product information within Shopify. If not, you can either get a developer (or good SEO agency) to do it or install an app like https://apps.shopify.com/json-ld-for-seo
Thanks for you reply. Here’s a bit more context:
ChrisAire.com is a Shopify hosted site, but its current pages are missing important product information optimized for Google’s newer search algorithms which include new Expertise, Authority, and Trust (E-A-T) metrics informed by structured data embedded in HTML docs – using terms from the Schema.org vocabulary.
I have a new rendition of the ChrisAire.com site that now comprises product pages with enhanced structured data embedded in HTML (a/k/a enhanced-metadata or a Knowledge Graph) as per the following page:
To see the difference between original (Shopify hosted) and newer enhanced pages, you can take any of the following actions:
- Use the conventional View HTML approach of reveal markup, and then search on the text pattern “ld+json” to unveil embedded structured product data ;
- Use the OpenLink Structured Data Browser Extension (available for Chromium Browsers [Chrome, Edge, and others], Firefox, and Safari) which allows you to click on its “doggie” icon to reveal embedded structured data.
Bearing in mind the information now provided, for additional context, isn’t there a standard method for bulk importing existing Web Pages into Shopify – where the only difference between the new and old lies in embedded structured data i.e., no conflicts regarding CSS styling and associated page layout.
Thanks for your reply.
Here’s a link to a detailed reply I just posted about this issue.
My earlier response seems to have been lost, for reasons I don’t understand. Here’s another attempt at the same message that provided additional context for my problem.
Problem
ChrisAire.com is an existing Shopify hosted site comprising product information related pages. These pages currently lack enhanced-metadata that provides search engines with better content understanding.
Action Taken
I have generated enhancements of the pages from ChrisAire.com that now include enhanced-metadata.
Current Spotify Platform Challenge
I am unclear about the process for bulk-loading these pages back over to the existing Shopify hosted site. Note, these pages only include enhanced-metadata i.e., they don’t make any changes to page styling and layout.
You can visit this page for a tabulated comparison of the old vs enhanced-metadata pages.
Note the following options for evaluating enhanced-metadata include and of the following:
- Conventional HTML view-source approach, and then search on the pattern “ld+json”
- Installation of the OpenLink Structured Data Sniffer Browser Extension (for Chrome-based Browsers, Firefox, and Safari) which unveils embedded structured data via a single mouse-click on its “doggie” icon
