Corporate Gifting for their employees

We have a client whom would like to allow their employees to login in to a page on our site, select from a specific set of “gifts” and have them shipped to the employee. Then we’d charge the company. Do you have a good app for this?

Hi @Richie_Crim1 For an employee-store the sanest approach can be a second store , or a Plus expansion store , thus moving the problem to a store-to-store inventory sync problem solved by tons of apps or services.

For running on a single store along with B2C etc, there’s locksmith app for content gating, and mechanic for order automations; both made by the same company lightward.

An example automation for creating draft orders from carts; script custom business logic to add discounts, custom items with custom prices, etc.

Or do things like issue store credit for use with standard orders.

ALWAYS include context in new communications, e.g. reference urls, posts urls, etc

@PaulNewton I’d also suggest you take a look at the Ribbon app. It works a bit differently than your scenario but can achieve the same outcome for your customer and their employees.

That’s putting it lightly it’s not even in the same ballpark, the store management has to dig around and preselect everything per employee for each individual order with an app like that.

@Richie_Crim1 hear me out, maybe this can work. What if you could create a discount code that only applies to the specific gifts you have in mind in the specified max quantity per product.

User logs in > Applies Discount > Places order > Discount code usage is tracked by report in Shopify > Charge company / Raise an invoice

The charge part (last step) is manual - but other than that it should fit the use case pretty well I’d assume?

If not, what’s the expected flow like ? Love to know more so I can hopefully give you a better solution.
