Hello, When i customize my theme , there used to be 2 options, left handside the country selector, right products, collections and other stuff, now the the country selector is gone, there is only one dropdown menu and it doesnt include the one i want. cant make any customization in the theme, because all i see, the main webpage (which i don’t use). Anyone knows what happened?
Hey @alexturka ,
In your Shopify Admin, go to Markets and add the region that you would like to edit.
Now you should be good to go and the market will appear inside the theme’s customization.
Sincerely,

Hello again @alexturka ,
You only have one market so when you edit your store you are always editing only this market, try adding a market and see if the customization for that market appears.
Sincerely,

Hello guys,
I have the exact same problem since a couple of days. Inside the editor there was a button where I could select the country, or “international” or “standard”. This button has gone, just like @alexturka said.
Hey @alexturka ,
in case you still have the problem, I found the solution. Since a couple of days I have been getting the notification to set up Shopify Payments and this messed up the markets and tarifs. I had to set up everything again and choose the countries I am shipping too, since they were all deselected. Have a look at the markets. You can click on settings → then choose markets. There you need to set everything up again. After this, go back inside the editor and you will se the button again. At least for me this worked.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards
Marc
Hi, I’m currently facing the same problem where the country selector is suddenly missing. Is the main problem due to payment setting? I do have asking several support from Shopify but it seems they also find difficulties to troubleshoot this problem
After changing my plan from the Grow plan to the Basic plan few days ago, the country selector disappeared.
One of the support team members also told me the same thiing, that this happened because of the plan change, explaining that the market selector is only available on the Plus and Advanced plans.
I kept explaining the same points.
–> First, I was using the Grow plan (not Plus or Advance) and the market selector was visible for 3 months.
–> Second, there are no significant differences between the Grow plan and the Basic plan, especially regarding inventory locations and the market selector.
–> Third, many other users have experienced the same issue, and so far no specific solution has been found.
Also, I never intentionally created a separate market theme, where 3 months ago all my edit has shifted from Store Default to “Indonesia” market without any reason, so that after that day I should change from Store Default to Indonesia market every time I want to make an edit.
Based on this, I can conclude that it is purely a system error from Shopify.
It has been a week without any solution. Two specialists have been working on this for several days, and I have spent an ads that still running and already paid in advance.
Hi there! ![]()
It sounds like your theme editor layout has changed due to either a Shopify update or a theme update, which can sometimes hide or relocate the country selector/language selector in the editor sidebar.
A couple things you can check:
1. Make sure you’re editing the correct page template
Sometimes the theme editor defaults to the Home page.
In the top-center dropdown, choose another template such as Products → Default product, Collections, or whichever page you want to customize.
If the theme is set to a template that doesn’t support a country selector, it simply won’t appear.
2. Check whether the country selector is now inside “Header” settings
Many themes moved the selector under:
Header → Country/Region Selector
or
Theme Settings → Localization
It might not appear as a separate left-side section anymore.
3. If you recently installed or updated an app or theme
Some apps overwrite parts of the editor UI or theme settings. A quick theme refresh or switching to another theme preview can confirm whether something got corrupted.
If none of that fixes it, I can take a quick look at your setup and tell you exactly where it went — the issue is usually something simple once we check the settings.
Just let me know and I’ll help you sort it out! ![]()
I still wait for another advice to face this problem
