UPDATE:
After sitting in front of the notebook for 6 hours, writing this post 1 hour ago and researching in every possible corner I found the solution.
This might could be useful for someone out there. As it is most of the times, it was easier than everything I was doing, no code editor, simply:
- admin
- navigation
- in the menu click on my front-page menu
- menu items - > the dropdown menu I was interested in
- and from there editing the single items.
I have been in that section before, but somehow missed out somewhere to do these steps above.
I simply can’t find it anywhere, neither in the admin section of the header, nor in the code editor.
I started out with the craft theme in February, added some collections that show up in the header as a drop down menu under “products”.
Since I don’t really like the names, I decided to update them (admin → collections) and there it works - in the collections gallery they show up correctly except in the dropdown menu. There, I can do whatever I want, they remain unchanged. I can even add a “test” category, it shows up everywhere again, except in the dropdown.
I cannot open the shop if that menu is messed up and basically not functional.
← the drop down menu that I is causing me a headache
I thought that this could have something to do with the fact that I updated to Craft 9.0.0?
The shop isn’t open yet and password protected.
Anyone a hint?
thank you so much!
