I’m finishing my antique rugs website, and as customers in antiques need very simple designs (they often get lost, most of them don’t completely understand how their mobile works etc), I’d like to simplify my mobile menu.
I have some sub-collections in my header menu, and I’d like to be able to hide them on mobile, or to find the place where I have to past an anchor “main-menu-mobile” to replace the “main-menu”

Really great question and it’s very good that you are thinking of your target audience like that for their mobile experience. I like the way you are thinking.
I looked into this for you and spoke to our theme support team directly about it. They said it is something which would be quite customized and not easily done with the free hour of design time or explained within a forum post reply here. It is for sure doable but would require work from a Shopify Expert or developer in this case. I wish there was something more direct I could help you with as I love your reasoning behind making the changes.
Hopefully, this helps and gives you some direction for best next steps to take. Don’t hesitate to ask any other questions should you have any.

I don’t know how much code you’ve edited, but I think I can help. You should have a Snippet file called mobile-nav.liquid
Open that file and on line three or somewhere around there you should see this:
{% for link in mobile-nav.links %}
change that to this:
{% for link in linklists.main-menu-mobile.links %}
Assuming that’s the name of the navigation menu you want to swap out.
On my developer store, this works. Please let me know if this helps you or if you have another question.

Can I ask you one other thing ?
To perfect my mobile navigation, I enabled filtering by product tags, but I’d like to remove 4 tags from every collection (“rug”, “textile”, “pillow” and “ethnic object”, because they already give their name to a collection, so we don’t need to have “rug” in the “browse by tags” of the “Rugs” collection for example).
It is not very important, but as the list can be very long, I don’t want to clutter it up with unuseful tags.

Hmm, without seeing your code and how the filtering works I’m not sure how to recommend changing that. I’m glad that solution worked for you though. I cant really know what that code does unless I was able to look at some of your other code. When you see something in an if statement that says {% if section.settings.anything_else%} that is referencing something that is in your settings_data.json file, so I would have to know what is going on in there, and also there are two other snippets that are being included: ‘collection-tags’ and ‘collection-sorting’, which I would probably have to look at as well. THIS question might be a little outside of answering in a forum post, it would be easier if I could see everything on your side, and even still Im not sure if I could.

I would like to: Create 2 different menus (linklists) for mobile and desktop.
Basically, I want to have “store locator” as a stand-alone link in our navigation for the mobile version of our website!
Currently it sits in ‘ABOUT US’ on the desktop and mobile, and I want to be seperate for ‘mobile’.

Open that file and on line three or somewhere around there you should see this:

Just wanted to say thank you for being clear and concise and not claiming it will take hours upon hours to make it work in addition to years of experience and a project manager and all the extra blah blah. I realize this was YEARS ago, but I am having the same issue with my theme “Turbo-Dubai” showing my menue twice when on mobile (Becuase on my main menu I have a drop down)… is there a way to make it so that mobile has it’s OWN menu for my theme? I am not sure where to find the code, but I did create a “Mobile Main Menu”
