Create a colour block around custom HTML text

I would like to create a block of colour around the ‘custom content’ HTML text on my landing page. My URL is www.smashgrrrl.com and it’s the custom content section immediately after the first Hero image. I’ve attached a screenshot referring to the section. I’ve also attached a screenshot of what I’m trying to create.
