Create Bundle with mandatory products and choose one product

Hi,

I want create a bundle with total 3 products.

Product 1 and 2 are Mandatory and Product 3 you can choose out of 5 other shopify products. You can only choose one of them.

Best practice would be Classic Bundle incl SKU in shopify and choose 2 products mandatory and product 3 flexible. I test several apps but still not what i’m looking for or to complex

Check BundleJoy: you can create a kit with 3 items:

in Item #1 and Item #2 you can set your mandatory products and in Item #3 you can include the other 5 products from which only one can be selected.

You can create a Mix and Match bundle, we can make Product 1 and Product 2 mandatory to add, while allowing customers to choose Product 3 from 5 options. Please see my attached screenshow below.

I recommend using Easify Product Options to create this bundle. It allows you to set mandatory products and give customers the option to choose from a list of products for the third item. This way, you can easily set up the bundle with the flexibility you need. Here’s how it works:

  • If you want the mandatory products to be chosen automatically, you can set both the minimum and maximum quantity to 2, and enable both products to 'Default’

To create a bundle with mandatory and flexible product options in Shopify, specifically where Product 1 and Product 2 are mandatory, and Product 3 is optional but must be selected from a set of 5 options, here’s a solution using the iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell app:

Steps:1. Install iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to the Shopify App Store.
  • Search for iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell and install it.

  1. Create the Bundle Using iCart:

    • Open the iCart app and go to the Product Bundles section.
    • Create a Custom Bundle with the following setup:
      • Product 1 and Product 2 should be mandatory (fixed, added automatically).
      • Product 3 will be the flexible option, where customers can choose one from 5 options.

  2. Use Variants or Custom Options for Product 3:

    • If Product 3 is one of 5 items, you can set it up as a variant of a “bundle product” or use custom options within iCart.
    • Add a selection widget in the iCart app that lets customers pick from the 5 available choices.

  3. Set Conditions for Mandatory Products:

    • Use the app’s functionality to ensure that Product 1 and Product 2 are automatically added to the cart.
    • For Product 3, make sure customers can only select one product from the 5 available options.

This is very much possible with our app Profit Bundles. I understand your requirement we called these bundles as custom bundles where customers pick what goes inside the bundles.

It won’t appear as a separate product but you can add a banner on the product page that will redirect the user to the bundle page.
