Hi, is it possible to automatically tag an order (not customer or product) when shipping address does NOT equal billing address? I need to handle subsequent communication and workflow differently based on if a customer is ordering something for themself versus sending it to someone else. Thanks so much.
You can do this with the Order Automator app, an app that automates order processing tasks like this. Matching billing and shipping isn’t a rule option out of the box but can be set up as a free customization (just contact through the app to make the request, I’m the lead developer of the app and will keep an eye out for this).

It’s good if more advanced business logic is needed to check the customers current tags, items in order, payment method used, time of day, send an email to your or staff or the customer, etc.
Moreso if you need to implement more than just order tagging automation.
