Creating a confirmation button using liquid

Hi All,

Could you please help me:

Background: I’m creating a non-profit website in Shopify. On the Product page, I would like to use “Outlink” , which will lead the customers to an external site, where they actually order the product for charity institution.

Challenge: I would like to have a confirmation from the users, that they made a purchase on the external site.

Solution idea

On the Product page, I would like to add a “Custom Liquid”, which would be a confirmation button, marking the product item “ordered” in my inventory, skipping the checkout process. Is this possible?

I don’t think so. In my experience there’s no way to simulate an order other than going through the checkout process. If anyone else has an idea I’d like to hear it, that could be useful in some cases.
