Creating a gallery- information not product

Hello,

I need some advice on creating a members gallery.

I need to create a grid of 100 or more images with title text. Each image should allow click through to an individual information page with images and links. These are not products. I would like the display to be a grid or have some style options. Current theme is Trade.

I think I need an app but I would love advice on which would work best.

On which page do you want to add the gallery? We can also create a custom page template for this.

Also we can achieve this by using a custom page template with a grid layout or by using a Shopify app. Here are two main options:

1. Without an App (Custom Code Solution)

Since these are not products, you can create a custom page template in your Trade theme and manually add the images, titles, and links. You can use Metafields to store additional information for each item and then display them on the individual pages.

  1. Create a new page template in your theme.
  2. Use CSS Grid or Flexbox to structure the gallery layout.
  3. Link each image to a custom page with more details.

2. Using an App for Easier Management

If you prefer an easier solution, consider using a gallery app from the Shopify App Store. Here are some good options:

  • Photo Gallery + Video Gallery by POWR – Allows click-through images and customization.
  • Cozy Image Gallery – Provides grid layouts and lightbox features.
  • EA Image + Text Grid – Lets you add text below images with linking options.
