Here’s what I’m wanting to do: I have a monthly emailed newsletter that I’d like to charge a monthly recurring fee for. I’ve looked at the various “subscription” apps but so far from what I see, they are all geared toward a physical product. I currently use MailChimp (synced with ShopSync) for sending the newsletter using a manually created segment that I update each month.
Any suggestions for a Shopify subscription app that would handle the monthly recurring fee plus trigger the sending of the newsletter. I’m thinking that maybe it would be something like the app would tag the customer with something like “active subscriber” (or if their payment didn’t go through that month, they would be tagged as “inactive”) and then I would have the email segmented in Mailchimp to only go to those that are active.
All the other usually “subscription” features are also desired (such as automatic recurring payment collection, allowing buyers to cancel their own subscription and update their payment info, etc.). I’m trying to automate as much of this as possible and would like to avoid needing to manually pull a list of those that paid each month.
