New to a brand that sends a lot of sale-able products out for free, typically for PR requests, for customer service to send a replacement, for investor requests, etc.
Currently, this is handled by there being a duplication of every product, which is then hidden from the site. Each product then has variants indicating use, such as “PR-”, “CS-”, “Mktg-”, etc. As u might imagine, this is very messy. I’ve never seen a setup like this before. All of these non-public products show up when setting a product in Flow, in Klaviyo, in many other apps, and in all reports.
So the question is: what’s the best way for customer service and PR to be able to create no-charge orders of sale-able products as needed? We could create 100% off code(s), but that also gets messy, as staff changes, codes leak, shipping fee could still be added, etc.
Is there an app or logistics tool that enables free orders to be created in Shopify? Any insight into how u handle this would be appreciated. ty!
