I’m very inept when it comes to the jargon here, so excuse my idiocy as I try to explain this.
Currently my main domain and landing page is cultivatecolorado.com which is hosted on GoDaddy. When you go to this address it takes you the home page of the website.
I created a landing page on hubspot which has a skip option that redirects to cultivatecolorado.com, but this caused some issues, mainly, how do I get the customer to land on the landing page I made first, and not the main homepage?
Here is how I want this to go ideally:
A customer types in cultivatecolorado.com
The customer is redirected to landing page (hello.cultivatecolorado.com/welcome-to-cultivate)
Customer presses skip and goes to cultivatecolorado.com
The issue:
This is a redirect loop. When they click skip to go to cultivatecolorado.com, it will again redirect to the landing page, etc. etc.
So I figure I need to create a subdomain, e.g. cultivatecolorado.com/home. Then I can redirect from cultivatecolorado.com to the landing page, and redirect from there to cultivatecolorado.com/home. However I need this subdomain to be the same home page that we currently have (as this home page is made with the theme we use and visual builder, whereas other pages are made in the dashboard ‘Pages’ section).
So the roundabout path to my actual question (which is probably still terribly worded)…Can I create a subdomain (cultivatecolorado.com/home), that takes the place of our current main domain (cultivatecolorado.com) while still keeping all of the original content from the home page, so that when a customer types in cultivatecolorado.com they will go to the landing page (hello.cultivatecolorado.com/welcome-to-cultivate) then be able to skip forward to cultivatecolorado.com/home? If so, how can I do this?
Thanks for any help
