CSS Scrolling Text Animation on "Image With Text Overlay"

This might be a bit much for the discussion board but hopefully someone else has attempted this before. I have been following the tutorial provided by Shopify to add text animation in my debut theme. https://www.shopify.com/partners/blog/text-animation-css

I was able to add the scrolling animation to the home page in a separate section, but I would really like to have this scrolling effect on the text in “Image with Text Overlay” Section.
Is this possible at all? Thanks in advance for any advice or help.
