CSV product import – “Price / United States” not applied after import

Hi,

I’m importing products into Shopify using a CSV file. In my CSV I specified regional pricing fields such as:

Included / United States
Price / United States
Compare At Price / United States
Included / International
Price / International
Compare At Price / International

The products were imported successfully, but the United States price did not take effect. Instead, the default price is being used.

My question:

• How can I properly set a specific price for the United States market during CSV import?

• Do I need to configure anything in Shopify Markets or in the product settings before the CSV will recognize Price / United States?

Your CSV column format is correct. The reason the United States price isn’t working is due to how Shopify handles your Primary Market.

The standard Price column in your CSV is always used for your Primary Market’s price, while the market-specific columns like Price / United States are only for setting prices in secondary markets. If the United States is your Primary Market, Shopify is correctly ignoring the market-specific price column by design.

To fix this, go to Settings → Markets and check your configuration. If the US is your Primary Market, you must put the desired price in the main Price column of your CSV file.

If the US is a secondary market, the issue is likely a naming mismatch, and you need to ensure that the name “United States” in your CSV header is an exact, case-sensitive match to the name in your market settings.

Thank you for your reply. However, I have already tried it, and I’m sure the name is exactly the same in the market, but it still doesn’t work.
