CSV Uploading and goods m issing from collections

I’m uploading products to my store by CSV.

Everything appears to be working fine.

Except the products are not being added to collections.

I am adding the collections to the “Type” column in the CSV file, is this the correct column ?

All the products are uploading, showing as “active” and available in Online store

I am also getting errors when the upload is reported as complete.

Line 1499: Validation failed: Status isn’t valid. Set the status as active, draft, or archived.

The products are set to “active” in the csv !

Ok Ihave solved part of this.

If you want to add your products to a collection using the CSV import method, you have to add a column in the CSV file after the “Type” column and name it “Collection”

Why the sample file you download doesn’t include this baffles me, when it is a fundamental requirement to display goods !

I can’t find one single YouTube video that mentions it either !
