I am super exited - I have finally finished my Beyblade website. I have put a lot of time and hard work into this website. Hopefully all of that hard work pays off some day. I have about 30 products, and still have to add more, but the site is basically done at this point, other than that.
I am curious to see what you guys think of it. Does it look professional? Would you buy from it? (assuming you were actually into Takara Tomy Beyblades lol!) Is there anything off about it? I am very open to suggestions. And what about the theme colors that I chose? Do they seem to go well together? Anyways, here is a link to my Beyblade store: https://beystation.com/
Compared to a lot of the other similar websites in my niche, I think it looks pretty good (better than most). Of course that isn’t saying much, because the Beyblade toy niche is pretty small. But when compared to big websits like Walmart or Amazon, my site definitely doesn’t look nearly as good
So again, what do you guys think? And if you didn’t like something about it, then what was it you didn’t like? What should be changed or improved? What did you like about it?
Also, what do you think about my logo? I paid about $250 for it, so hopefully it is at least decent.
Thanks for any input!
I guess the design must be ok, because I have already sold 4 Beyblades in the last couple days. I’m always looking to improve though.
What I would suggest is having a drop down menu of your product types. Maybe called “Products” and put it between Home and About Us. You can then list all your Categories: Best Sellers, Metal Fusion, metal masters, fury, fight, original, etc. I would also add in maybe a SALE menu tab (if I am a parent buying for my child, I want to see a good deal and not get them "the most expensive beyblade).
I know the categories are listed below the products but you want to keep this info above the fold and easy to see and access.
As for the logo, I like the design and think it fits well, don’t know if it is worth $250, but I think you got yourself a great logo!
One final thing is I would make the pricing bigger. Here is a pic with the pricing at 18px, looks a lot better imo.
Thank you for the suggestions Ronald. I definitely agree that the pricing is too small. Now I gotta figure out what part of the code to edit to make the font bigger for the prices, only in the “grid item” are. I’m guessing I will find that code in the “product-grid-item” code.
Also, do you have any idea how to make a dropdown menu with the minimal theme? I don’t know if there is an option for that. But I really do like that idea, and totally agree with you on that one.
OK, I figured out how to do BOTH things (Drop Down Menu, and where to edit code to change size of prices for collection items.)
Thanks again for the suggestions!
