Currency / Region Pop-Up

My client wants to add a pop-up prompting visitors to selection their shipping region like this: https://apostlehotsauce.co.nz/collections/our-saints (screenshot also attached below).

I realise I need to set up markets etc. in settings, which I will do. What I need to know is how to add the pop-up? Does this require a third party app or can I do it without one?

Hi @SassInnes :waving_hand: It can be done without per your skill and time allows.

If rapid prototyping apps are fastest though they will tend to pile up and impact revenue & performance if done as a habit.

For the popup UI:

  • in a lot of themes reuse the popup system from either size-guide, newsletter, form, or quickviews; sometimes image-gallerys, search or drawers depending on settings.
  • There’s also checking free themes and transplanting any modal/popup system from there.
  • And probably some forum posts about it for some theme can be found through research.

I’ve set up the market (Australia) and shipping. I can’t quite get my head around creating the pop up. Per my original message, the client wants a pop-up like the image/example I posted. The pop up prompts them to pick a region from the product page, when they pick a region and submit the form, the page refreshes in the correct region.

I have installed Shopify Forms to create the pop up BUT this app seems very limited in terms of customisation and is perhaps not the right option for my needs? For example, I can’t direct customers to the correct region when they select a country from the drop down (unless I’m missing something), I can’t remove the email field which is not needed.

Please help, if someone can just point me in the right direction / send the right instructions I’m sure I could get this working!
