I have created a custom app for a marketplace connection and when the marketplace tries to run the product import, it runs 3/4 of they way through then stops with a “Fatal Error” message states: ERROR: Authentication failed: 403 Forbidden
The process followed was: https://support.marketplacer.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003175271-Shopify-integration-for-Sellers-Connect-and-set-up
What is the reason for the authentication error
Hey @CameronBEX - thanks for getting in touch. Generally, 400 errors relate to app/request authentication issues. In this case, I can’t say for sure what exactly caused the error but if you can provide an X-Request-ID that you would have received in the response header to your query and the general date range/time we can definitely take a look into this further for you. We are also only able to review logs within the last 7-14 days, so the more recent the X-Request-ID, the easier it will be to look into this.
The link you shared seemed to redirect to a login page as well so I couldn’t access the steps you followed - but I would also suggest building apps based on best practices we share in our documentation on shopify.dev.
Hope to hear from you soon - let us know if we can clarify anything on our end.
Hi thanks for your response!!
I dont think I can view the X-Request- ID.. here is what the page looks
like after its synced and importing:

For the record- this platform is MA\arketplacer, and we integrate with
hundreds of Shopify accounts using this exact process all the time.. this
is the first Ive seen this error.
