Custom Apps Gone - How Create Public Unlisted App

With the removal of custom legacy apps and the requirement to now make apps from the dev dashboard, is it now impossible to make an unlisted app?

In the dashboard the distribution options are only 1. Public or 2. Custom. Custom seems to be only to install on a specific store, and for public there is no option to have it be unlisted. It has to be approved by the app team.

I’m looking to simply allow my users to install an unpaid unlisted app so that I can pull their product data into my quoting app, so they can pull live shopify product data. Is this no longer possible without creating a public app that needs to be reviewed???

Yeah I don’t want it to be public, but the only way to do it with custom apps is to make a new app per user who wants to do a connection.

Ideally all i want is an unlisted app that I can link to. All I’m pulling is product data. You’re saying this is possible?
