Hi! I’m new to Shopify but have followed several tutorials on adding custom fonts. It doesn’t seem too complicated, but for some reason they aren’t displaying correctly when I’m looking at the site (checked on Chrome and Safari.)
I have three custom fonts the client has requested to use and 2/3 are just showing a default serif and the other is displaying but it’s not rendered correctly (missing details in the font.)
The site is: https://unimpressedstudios.com/
Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Hi @figuestudio ,
Sorry, can you share which font you are using and some images of the problem.
That will help me support for you faster
@ExpertRookie Sure! I took a quick screen recording to show where two fonts that should look completely different are - it’s showing up as a default serif when the first one circled in the screen recording should be a font called ‘Lettres’ and the second one circled on the product page should be a font called ‘Loungy’ and both of those are uploaded into Shopify - under the files in settings. I also assigned them in the code but it shows these serifs instead.
The strange thing is the first one called ‘Buxom’ is now showing up properly, though I don’t think I actually changed anything to make that happen.
Thank you so much for all your help!
Hi @figuestudio
Just checked and found that your font does not load.
How do you import the custom font?
@ExpertRookie I imported it through settings > files and uploaded it there. I also tried uploading it via the assets section of the code and it gave me the same thing. Could there be another way to import it properly? my h1 seemed to work through the file upload in settings.
Hi @figuestudio
Yep, H1 uses font from theme settings.
In this case if you need to add custom font, after import font you need to add some css code to make it works.
