hello, im wondering if it is possible to change my password page background from white to an image of my choice while using the Dawn theme? Any help would be appreciated !
Hey there, @ExoticSouls . Thanks so much for coming to the Shopify Community today with your Dawn Password Page question! I hope you’re doing well!
You should be able to change the password page background to an image of your choosing. I’ve got a few screenshots here that should guide you on the steps you need to take to get to the area to add your own photo. Give these images a once over, and let me know if anything appears to be different for you when follow along with them.
1.) Login to your Admin and Access your ‘Online Store’ section
2.) On this screen, click the green ‘Customize’ button to access your Theme Editor:
3.) Click on the dropdown menu at the top of the Theme Editor, and select the ‘Other’ Option:
4.) Click on the ‘Password’ Option that appears:
5.) Click on the ‘Email Signup Banner’ option that appears on the left-hand menu:
6.) Click ‘Select Image’ and then place your desired photo as the one you’d like to see in the background:
Once you’ve completed all of these steps, you’re desired image should appear as the background on your password page! As I mentioned above, if you have any issues with these setup suggestions, please follow up with me here and let me know.

I’m bummed to see that my steps didn’t do the trick for you here. It looks like the Dawn version I’m using may be newer, which could explain the difference we’re seeing in our Theme Editors. I’m wondering if these other section headings on your left menu house options for your background. It’s difficult for me to say for sure since I can’t authenticate/access your shop here through the forums. But I know who can!
Since you’re using Dawn, A Shopify-made theme, our Live Team may be able to help you get this image placed into the background as desired! Though I can’t promise that they can, they’ll be able to explore the back-end of your theme with you, explore your customizer, see what sort of sections can be added/edited, and they can even chat with our Theme Specialists to see if they could add the background for you.
