Custom Tailored Text Box

Hi all,

I’m trying to add a “customise size” button for my shopify clothing store wherein when the customer selects that option, a form appears where they can fill in their size details and place the order.
One way I thought I could do it was instead of adding a separate button, I could have a size variant called “custom” but then I need a way for the text boxes to appear when that option is selected.
Any thoughts on how I can achieve this?

This should be done by using order notes.

You need to know about Liquid and Javascript.

By using a feature called “Conditional Logic”, only when customers click on Custom size, they will see the form to fill in their wanted size note.

It’s been a while since you raised this topic, and you’ve already received several suggestions. However, I’d like to offer another simple solution for you (and other members) to consider in case you encounter a similar situation in the future .

You can easily create a text box for customers to enter their custom size details after they select “Custom size” using the Easify Product Options app (Free plan available).

Here’s a quick demonstration on how to set it up:

• Create a new option set:

• Add an option that allows customers to choose a Size, including your available size options and “Custom size,” using the Buttons option type:

• Add another option that enables customers to enter their custom size details using the Text Box (or Text Area) option type. Set up Conditional Logic to ensure that this text box only appears when the “Custom size” option is selected:

• Finally, assign the option set to your relevant product(s), and you’re good to go!

As you can see, it’s a straightforward and speedy process to achieve what you want with the Easify Product Options app – no coding required .
