For the figma thing just SEARCH the forum.
Most “personalization”'s don’t need an app and can be done via line-item-properties , or cart-attributes.
It’s only when you start making forms that have to affect prices,skus, or generate dynamic products etc etc, instead of just being able to use the existing products data.
Building an app is not the same as the time for the app submission review process. ANECDOTALLY the shopify app-submission review process is 5~10 days
And EVERY interaction back-and-forth can have it’s delay measured in days or weeks. Read: THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF TIMELYNESS on shopify’s part they owe you nothing.
For a personalized necklace without a plugin, will the product details include the name in the notes box? I couldn’t customize the necklace without a plugin, so could you please give me some ideas? Or is there a sample video on the forum? Good luck.
If your just collection monograms etc that can be done with line item properties.

Design with Shopify sections in mind — especially reusable dynamic sections (hero, product grid, announcement bar, etc.).
Make sure your product templates account for variations, like Gold vs. Silver, material description, size, engraving options, etc.
Plan mobile-first. Most jewelry customers browse on mobile.
