Customer cancelled order but I printed label and cannot find a void option

Hi. My customer asked me to cancel his order. I refunded him and did a return without shipping option.

But I cannot find any option to void the label I printed.

I would appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Jason

Hey @JasperPine ,

Great question!

You can void a shipping label if it meets the following requirements:

  • It has been less than 30 days since you bought the label.
  • There have been no tracking events on the label, such as the shipping carrier accepting the shipment.

If you click the three dots outlined below, are you seeing the option to void your label?

After you void a shipping label, the cost of the label is credited to your account. This amount is applied to the cost of any shipping labels that you buy in the future. If the package has been shipped, then contact the carrier with the package reference number for help.

TIP: Communicating shipping speeds at checkout to your customers can help improve cart conversion, provide clarity and transparency, and increase consumer confidence. Learn more about how to add shipping speeds directly from your Shopify Admin. Then have a read of this blog post that goes over shipping strategies to increase conversions and profitability.

Let me know how you get on!

Hi Moira. I contacted shopify support and apparently if you refund the customer and/or do a return so the product inventory is restored, the void option is not available so I guess I cannot void the label which is unfortunate because its almost a $9 loss

Thank you for your help,

Jason
