Customer cannot redeem gift card

Hi ,

I seem to be having issues lately where customers cannot redeem their gift cards when checking out. I never had this problem until a few months ago. I switched from the Debut theme to the Dawn theme, and wondering if thats the problem. Anyone have any input why this would be a problem?

The theme changes wouldn’t affect your gift card redeeming. This would be due to something else. Are you currently using Shopify’s first-party gift card feature, or are you using a third-party app?

I’m using the gift cards directly through Shopify.

Are you having your customers have any error messages show? This does seem to be a technical issue, I’d suggest reaching out to our chat team so they can inspect your store and dive into this with you. You can contact our team at help.shopify.com by scrolling to the bottom of the web page.

It would help as well if you could get a gift card example ready for them for a customer who wasn’t able to redeem that on your shop. Also issue and test a new gift card so you have that ready for them to test as well.
