Hi Air0202,
I am Molly, an eCommerce Coordinator.
According to the update from Meta, a significant change will take place starting from August 10, 2023. Businesses won’t have the option to set up a shop on their Facebook Page or Instagram profile unless they’ve activated Checkout with Facebook or Instagram within the United States. Additionally, businesses that don’t have an active shop won’t be able to utilize various Shops-related features, such as product tagging in posts, reels, and stories, or generating new custom or lookalike audiences based on the visitors to their shop.
However, Instagram will still offer ads with product tags. As you may know, when customers click on the product tags, they should be directed to the specific product page on your Shopify website.
In case you want your customers to have a seamless shopping experience on your multiple channels, kindly consider using LitCommerce solution. They also have an article mentioning how to connection Shopify to Facebook that you may want to refer to.
I am also using this solution to operate my multi shopping channels and it works perfectly. You can try using this solution free with a limited product number.
Hope this might help!
Regards,
Molly
