This is a bug that has been driving me nuts the whole time i have been using Shopify.
Currently we have to use an external application to create a PDF for customers, why is this feature just not included out of the box. Shopify is meant to be the great solution that does everything but there are a few really important features it over looks, I know software partners have developed tools to do this but still, it’s a core feature of any online invoicing system.
Hi there,
I agree it’s a basic requirement of any business, yet nothing native exists from Shopify. While you can use Draft orders / Order confirmations they often lack a lot of important details such as tax ids, net terms, and even fulfilment statuses…
I am Shopify partner that did create a tool called ezInvoices, which will let you stay within your order page so you can print off and save a PDF invoice of the order. This way you do not need to rely on external applications. It handles a lot of basic invoicing requirements such as your business numbers, tax identifications, you can customize the invoice, and all that jazz.
You can check out ezInvoices on the Shopify App Store: ezInvoices | One‑Click Invoice - Easily Generate and Save PDF Invoices for Shopify Orders | Shopify App Store
If there is something specific you’d like to see with the app, then I’d be happy to help and work on a solution to include it for you.
Happy selling!
