Hi, I’ve tried to export a recent customer list but it contains very few phone number. Where as in the past almost all customers had phone numbers.
All of the customers I’m trying to export are customers and have shared their phone number. But in their customer profiles their phone number is showing up under their shipping info not their contact info. It seems that only customers with their phone number in their contact info are exporting.
I’ve looked into setting and you can set email as the only contact method or email or phone number but apparently this will only save one of either the phone number or email address under contact info. Where we have heaps of past customers with phone number and email address under their contact info. So I’m wondering why that isn’t happening any more.
This also means that we are barely sending anyone SMS marketing because their phone numbers aren’t being saved under their contact info even if they opt in for SMS marketing.
Does anyone have any solutions or insight into this?
Having the exact same problem. Phone numbers are essential information for marketing etc. This needs to be rectified by Shopify. The phone numbers were there before.
Let me know if you find a solution. I’ve been chatting with Shopify support and they say that only phone or email will be captured as contact info not both. But this isn’t how it has been in the past. I’m trying to find a solution because we need to export the phone numbers for SMS marketing.
