Customer profile: Unsubscribe and delete account

Dear Everyone,

After plenty of search we’ve found no solution to give customers the option to unsubscribe from newsletters or to delete their account through their profiles.

We’ll use Mailchimp which can push cancelled subscription info towards Shopify but I feel this is a little old-fashioned.

If customer would like to delete their account, they seriously have to contact to the webshop to erase their data through Admin / Customers?

Are these two are okay from GDPR standpoint?

Is there any way to achieve the above?

No, I did not find any solution. Probably there’s no.
We rather avoid Shopify.
The fact that no answers arrived from staff is at least disturbing.

I need some help too on this. A customer can not unsubscribe please an you share if you find a solution
