Customer Segments: customer_countries not working properly?

I’m having trouble with Customer Segments returning country subsets properly.

Specifically, I’ll create a segment like:

customer_countries NOT CONTAINS 'US'

But it still returns lots of customers with locations like this…

Similarly, if I exclude Canada, I’ll get a few entries including Canadian locations.

If flip it around from NOT CONTAINS to CONTAINS (either US or CA or whatever), there’s zero overlap between the dataset returned (customers are only in one or the other… NOT CONTAINS or CONTAINS), but it seems entirely arbitrary why someone would be returned inappropriately in one and not appropriately in the other.

Any insight on this?

No, but FYI… it appears to be timing-based.

Purchasers from the past day or two (regardless of fulfillment status, so that’s not the trick) show up ONLY in the “NOT CONTAINS ‘US’” segment.

Purchasers older than the past day or two ONLY show up in the “CONTAINS ‘US’” segment.
