Like so many others, my payments have been paused because they say they have not received the information they need to keep paying me. Only problem is, my dashboard is locked and for over a month i have been trying to provide the information, which incidentally they already have. I have contacted customer support three times and each time I am told the same thing. Absolutely no follow-up at all. As this is completely unacceptable, I filed a report with the BBB. It seems there they tend to customers rather quickly. I suggest everyone who has been ghosted by shopify customer support to do the same thing. This manner of doing business, holding onto our money yet refusing to release it based on their own technical issues is ridiculous. Especially since it is such an easy fix. Get it together shopify. Other than this my experience with shopify has been great. But mess with my money and its a whole nother ball game. BTW still waiting on my 1099K for the same reason.

Today I contacted support for the 5th time regarding this issue. nearing the end of the chat, I was told I was sent an email from the “legal team.” I never received any such email. They wouldn’t give me the email address it was sent from so I could do another search, saying there is no direct email. Emails are sent from somewhere, even “no reply” emails. This company is shady as hell.

There is absolutely no reason for this to be going on when the fix is so easy. I had to resort to the BBB and now I’m off to the FCC. Because you are fine with collecting my money and not giving it to me when you have what you need. You will not provide me with a way to verify the information you already have and have been using for a year. This is such bad business I can’t even tell you how disappointed I am in Shopify and the lack of effective customer service. I suppose I will have to resort to saying I will never recommend shopify to anyone and now have to find another platform Thanks for nothing shopify. And I do expect the money you re illegally withholding from me.
