Same issue here! I am using Shopify Email. All purchases seem to automatically unsubscribe the buyer. A few other loyal clients are now unsubscribed. Not sure if they had an abandoned cart or what. Please help us understand why this is happening!

That’s it! I went back to my checkout settings and ticked the “email me with news and offers”. Now if someone DOESN’T want to subscribe they can untick this box. But it isn’t confusing for those who are already subscribed. Thank you for this solution!
