Customers have same string input for first and last name

Hello,

I recently launched my storefront and I noticed that new customers are being created with the same first and last name (ex: “yoon yoon”, “park park”). What could be causing this?

Hi @soupnasty ,

These are likely bot accounts and they can be disregarded. I’d recommend enabling Google reCAPTCHA on your store to try and prevent these fake accounts from signing up.

We have noticed this also, and with some of our repeat customers. The double names show up on our orders, but the correct first and last name show up on the actual invoice and order. This has only been happening recently since September rolled around. Is it possible that this is a glitch? We have confirmed that the customers are NOT bots.
