Customers reporting that their Shopify basket is disappearing?

I keep having customers report back to me to say that their baskets are disappearing if left.

With the sort of stuff that we sell, it is very normal for customers to add items to the basket and return many days later and carry on adding stuff until they’re ready to purchase… this could be on a phone, laptop, iPad, etc.

How can I sort this so that items in peoples basket remains visible to them regardless of how long it is left or which device they log in on? as it’s very annoying for them to create a basket to return back and it be empty.
