Customize the payment recurrence in the Shopify Subscriptions app?

Hi,

We are a recurring “subscription” based product company. However, our products ship/payments reoccur at irregular intervals based on holiday dates. Is there a way to set the recurring payments to a more custom date or on demand schedule?

We would ideally also love an easy way for the customers to be able to “skip” a shipment if they desire.

NOTE: We are also looking for a way to have customers select a “type” (a la flavor) that they would like in their next shipment. Does anyone know how this can happen?
