Hi there, question about the invoices that Shopify generates when an order comes in. Is there a way of editing that invoice? I asked shopify support and they said there might be a workaround to get the changes in the invoice but I haven’t found a way to edit the invoice code. Apparently there is a limitation in the invoice where the company name don’t show on the invoice and this is something our client really wants (and is actually something that should be included in the invoice because it’s kind of a B2B function and not showing the company name is just wrong).
I looked at apps but they’re expensive just to be able to add the company name on the invoice (because we want unlimited invoices created and most apps ask more money for more invoices).
Anyone who has found a workaround the editing the invoice generated by shopify?
If you have a Shopify store for Indian customers, you can use the GST Invoicing and Inventory App - Swipe. Once an order is placed on Shopify, the invoice is automatically created on Swipe. You can even edit it and send it to your customer via WhatsApp, email, or SMS, and manage your inventory as well.
I am dealing with the same issue. B2B clients always want their company name on the invoice. This should definitely be a standard feature in Shopify. Does anyone have a solution for this yet? Or is Shopify working on something?
I’ve been trying for a month to get the company name to appear on the invoice in Shopify. It’s very strange that this hasn’t been arranged. I also just found out that the name on the invoice is the same as the account name. If you enter a different name in the shipping address, it also shows up incorrectly on the invoice. It’s taking a really long time for Shopify to come up with a solution, and in the meantime, the VAT invoices are useless to us—even though they cost quite a lot of money.
