I’m trying desperately to get off of Network Solutions, but our site has been hosted on their e-Commerce platform for over 15 years. So there’s a lot of history that needs to be transferred. I’m aware of many of the migration services available to help me import into Shopify, but I am stuck trying to get the data I need off of my old site in a usable format. Network Solutions data export is anemic at best, and their tech support is basically nonexistent.

Has only made this switch? Does anyone have any recommendations or strategies regarding customer/order/product data export beyond the pitiful export options provided by NS? I’d love to hear that there’s an API out there that will allow me to further customize my data export.

what type of storefront software is Network Solutions using? You might just want to export it. I would not focus on importing it, might just be worth having an external database to compare to. in 12 months all the effort spent on importing the data will be of little value.

Network Solutions is a dinosaur of web hosting, and they have their own storefront software. The exporting is exactly my issue - the data export they offer is woefully short of everything. It exports the bare minimum of order data - leaving tons of product information and customer input behind. At the moment I’m not at all concerned about the import side of migration - I am just hoping someone here has come from Network Solutions and has some smart tips about extracting all my data from their platform.
