Dawn 9.0 - How do I extend my image under the header?

I am using Shopify 9.0 Dawn and want my image block to sit under my header block. How do I do this?

To move your image block under your header block in Shopify 9.0 Dawn, you can follow these steps:

  • Go to your Shopify admin panel and select “Online Store” from the left-hand menu.
  • Click on “Themes” and then click on the “Customize” button for the Dawn theme.
  • In the left-hand menu, click on “Sections” to see the list of available sections for your homepage.
  • Click on “Header” to expand the header section settings.
  • Scroll down to the “Content” section and click the “+” button to add a new content block.
  • Select “Image” from the list of available content blocks.
  • Upload your desired image and adjust any settings as needed.
  • Click the “Save” button to save your changes.

Thanks for your reply. I do not have an option to add an image?

Hi @hbell89 ,

I think what you are asking is to have an image as a block and not as a section. Unfortunately, this cannot be done without customized code editing. You will need to hire a developer to do this changes for you

I am looking to create a transparent header that will sit over top of the image.
