Dawn Hero background image blurry?

Hello everyone,

I’ve made a image with GPT to use for my hero, but whenever I upload the picture it looks blurry? Also the text doesn’t look sharp. I’ve even tried changing the resolution of the image to 1920x1080 but without positive outcome. How can I solve this?

The blurry image is usually caused by image compression, incorrect dimensions, or the theme serving a smaller version of the image.

Here are a few things you can check:

  • Export the image in a higher resolution (for example, 2400–3000 px wide) instead of just 1920×1080.

  • Save it as a high-quality PNG (if it contains text) or a high-quality WebP.

  • If the image includes text, it’s better to upload the image without text and use Shopify’s heading and text blocks instead. This keeps the text crisp and improves accessibility.

  • Check whether your theme is resizing the image by inspecting the image settings or the code (image_url width parameter).

  • Test the original image outside Shopify. If it already looks blurry, regenerate or export it at a higher quality.

Thank you for your response. Somehow chatgpt wont make 1920x1080 images so I’ve resized it with photoshop. Imgur: The magic of the Internet is the link of my image.

I checked the image, and the issue doesn’t appear to be related to Shopify or the theme. The uploaded image itself is blurry, especially around the subjects and fine details. Even when Shopify serves the higher-resolution version, the image still looks soft.

It looks like the image was generated or exported at a lower quality. I recommend regenerating or exporting it in a higher quality (preferably 3000–4000 px wide) or using the original high-resolution file if available.
