Hello. I was wanting to switch themes and choose the Dawn theme. I had planned to draft and finalize it before publishing, however I’ve found that, for whatever reason, it is not giving me different collapsible tabs to edit on different pages. It keeps putting the same collapsible tab from my FAQ page onto my Tattoo Info page. If I edit the Tattoo Info page collapsible tab it edits the one on the FAQ page to be the same. Does anyone know how to unlink them to be two separate collapsible tabs on different pages with different information? I’ve attached some pics to show what’s happening. Thanks to any help on this.
@NatE27 - it is happening because you are using the exact same template for both the pages. I recommend to use some page builder app like pagefly to add separate content on separate pages.
You can create separate templates for these 2 pages but if you have more pages then this approach is not efficient as each page will nee separate template, hence better to use page builder like pagefly.
In order to have different content in collapsible row for each page, you first need to create metafield and then connect it with your theme setting to display metafield on your pages:
Create Metafield by going to Settings > Metafields > Pages >Add definition > fill out the required info.
Go to Pages > Within each page, scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see the metafield you’ve created before, then fill out the specific content for each.
Navigate to Online Store > Theme > Customize
Select Pages then Default Page from the page selector at the top
Within the sidebar menu, click on the Collapsible row > Row content > click on the Insert Dynamic Source as the photo attached below > Select the associated metafiled
As Suyash told you before, it will be easier and more flexible if you use a page builder app, like PageFly. You can customize any page you need: home, product, landing, collection, blog post, and password page.
