Hello,

I need to use: Example - “Buy Shoes, get a free paid of socks” I know Shopify has this option, but it does not add it to cart automatically… very unfortunate!

How can I get that inserted into the cart automatically? As soon as someone adds shoes to cart, free socks are also in the cart.

You can go with the app or alternatively you can ask a developer to develop a module for the theme you are using.

In your case “Buy Shoes, get a free paid of socks”, I highly recommend that you install the BOGO+ | Easy Free Gift Upsell . In BOGO+, you can create a Buy X Get Y campaign to fit your desire.

For exapmle:

i dont want a popup. i want simple and clean in cart drawer. But thanks for the information!

May be you are looking for something like this:-
This for DAWN theme.

  • In your Shopify admin, go to Discounts > Create Discount.
  • Choose the type of discount (percentage, fixed amount, buy X get Y).
  • Select “Buy X get Y” and configure it:
    • For example, “Buy Shoes, get a free pair of socks.”
    • Define the conditions (e.g., buy shoes).
    • Specify the reward (free socks).

I tested that. but it does not add the “free socks” to cart automatically. you have to manually add the socks to the cart separately and add the shoes to get the discount applied. not customer user-friendly.

If you don’t want a Pop-up BXGY campaign, BOGO+ | Easy Free Gift Upsell has another option for you is Auto-add campaign where offer product will be auto added to the cart. Only one variant can be provided as an offer.
