You would have to go into your theme’s coding, and then find the template/section/snippet for the slideshow section. From there you can do CRTL+F to search for “5” … and it should bring you up a line of coding within the schema, where you can edit the number ‘5’ to be a different number (ex. 10, or however many slides you want the maximum to be).
Note: changing this could affect the loading times of your theme. There’s usually a reason that the theme developers limit the number of blocks within sections.
