Hi all.
How do i remove the grey overlay that appear over the thumbnail of a video?
The video itself have white background, so only the thumbnail looks grey.
Theme is Dawn.
Hope someone can help.

Thanks all for the swift response, as this a client project and the products are not yet introduced to the marked, i am not able to show the website.
Usually im decent with css and that stuff, but for some reason i cant figure this out. If i can provide any more info without showing the website itself, please let me know.
Again, the theme is Dawn, and i havent done anything crazy with the code, so this overlay over video thumbnail is a “stock” feature.

Great question! Did you add a video section to your site in order to embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo on a page in your store?
You can choose what image to display on your video within the video section itself:
What kind of store are you building? And what are you selling? It’s great that you’re using video because video content has been shown to improve sales. You could combine your videos on your site with a TikTok strategy to really spread the news about your brand!
And if you combined that with great visuals on your Instagram sales channel too, you could be connecting with lots of customers and building a community that keeps coming back for more!

Maybe it wasn’t clear from my initial post, but this video is located under a specific product, just like product photos.
I simply dragged the video into the product media along with some photos.
the video itself was uploaded to the shopify store in settings → files

Shopify does not automatically apply any overlays or filters to product media, which suggests it is originating in the media itself. Does your video have a thumbnail?
You could try selecting a thumbnail yourself to see if that helps! Click on the video within your product and select the More options > Replace thumbnail option:
I suspect that, because you uploaded the video directly into the files section, it does not have a default thumbnail video and that this may resolve the issue. However, if it doesn’t, please do come back to me!
