DAWN THEME: Show Featured image While Landing On Product Page

Hello everyone! I am struggling to find a solution to this matter. I would highly appreciate it if someone could help to solve the below.

Here is my problem:

Whenever someone is landing on my product page, the first image he will see is the first variant image as it is selected by default whereas I would like the first featured image to be displayed.

I am using Dawn theme (version 6.0.2)

Hi @NicoMLX

That matter you talking about, you need check on products.liquid file code.

At here you should be change the code how to show the featured image of product is default.

Can you please follow this docs. https://shopify.dev/api/liquid/objects#product

Hi NicoMLX,

The easiest way to do this is:

Go to your product, then go to options.

You should see the variants.

Click on edit → Then drag and reorder the variants (option values), to show which variant you want to display at first.

Something similar to this

Hello Sajat, thanks for your advice but it is not a matter of showing one variant before another. What I want is to display first is NOT a variant image but the first featured image.

Any idea how to do this ?

When user access to product page the featured image will show up first, look like video attachment bellow, this is the feature you want implement, right?

Can you please check video and spend a little the time read the my signature, and let me know if you want deploy to live theme.

The code just on my local and still not push to theme live yet, you can check on Dev[Dawn] theme, i had updated code on this theme because i don’t want my code affect to theme live site before you confirm code is working.
