I have a staple product in our store for which we introduce new colors and color combos seasonally. As we retire old colors I want to be able to remove them from the product page on my site, but still have all associated historical data for these variants.
The only thing I can figure out is to delete the variant - but that also deletes the variant name from all the historical data, so this is not an acceptable solution.
Ideally I can just de-activate a variant. Is there any solution to this that does not require an app?
