Debut theme, adding a picture to the footer

Hello all,

I would like to add my logo centered on the footer of the debut theme. I created a graphic 2000 pixels wide and centered the logo on the file. I added the asset and made the change to the background: url({{ ‘image6.png’ | asset_url }}); in sections and footer.liquid. per this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST7ogF-6AhA

The image is loading, but when I remove the newsletter signup it breaks the formatting on the menu items and pushes my logo to the right.

How can I have

LEFT col - Menu Item

Middle col - Nothing so I can show the logo that is on the background image.

RIGHT col - Text
