Debut theme auto re-size for mobile etc for dynamic photos on homepage

I am using Debut theme, I have added a “Header” image to go above my Email sign up on my home page to make it look a little more attractive, but the image does not auto re-size for mobile and gets cut off, I think it is a code thing, but not sure what to add and to which liquid file, hope you can help!
