Hey!
I run a shopify page called Drive Slow Fresheners we create, manufacture, and sell hip-hop artist inspired car air fresheners printed from hand-drawn art. We sell each air freshener for $7.95 and have seen a lot of engagement and sales with our product thus far. We are looking to increase our AOV and LTV by implementing bundle orders so customers have to order either 3,5,7 or 10 fresheners at a time rather than 1 or 2. We want to be able to mix and match our current designs in these bundles. I have tried using the Bundler app but that only applies a discount at checkout for order of 2 or more. We want the product offered solely as bundles. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can implement this into our store please let me know
Our second idea was to implement a subscription model where customers sign up for the first month for $4 and choose any design of their choice. Every month ($8 roughly after first month) they would be billed and can choose a design or be sent the new design coming out for the month.
We want to test both of these options and see which brings the most success. If anyone can help with either some app suggestions or shopify magic to have these created please reach out.
Cheers,
Drive Slow.

Hi
It depends on whether you want your buyers to select the different parts of the bundle or whether you want them to purchase a preset one.
If you want to let buyer choose then check out bundle apps that create custom pages in your theme and let your buyers select different items as part of a bundle before check out. These are then added as individual order lines so can potentially be edited before checkout.
If you want create your own virtual bundles or give the buyer some ways of modifying the bundle then you would need to use a third party app to bundle each kit up with the relevant SKUs.
For example you could have options:
Option 1 - Design 1 (Quantity of 3)
Option 2 - Design 2 (Quantity of 3)
Option 3 - Design 3 (Quantity of 3)
Couple of things you need to consider is fulfilment and inventory management. Our bundle app will let you connect up all your products to correct SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock level. So in above example if you have the same component across multiple bundles and it sells then all bundles stock gets updated.
We also have the additional option of unbundling orders made for a bundled product into the component SKUs post purchase. This way the order lines are only for components and can be fulfilled as per normal.
For example you could make a virtual kit containing a list of designs that the buyer cannot change. This will look like one product during checkout. Post purchase our app will split the order lines into the correct design SKUs.

Hi @DriveSlow
For custom bundles, you can take a look at my app, BYOB. You can create bundles like selecting any N products, pay for a fixed price say $100. The bundles appear as products with a custom product template. Recently, we also support tiered discounts to set up tiers for 3,5,7, or 10 items.
Feel free to try it in our demo store. For subscriptions, we don’t support it yet.
